TDDi 2.4 injectors

Postby rotory » Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:22 pm

Hi lads.
I own a 2.4 TDDi 125 rwd, it sounds like I have a leaking injector as I can hear a constant pht pht sound and I’m down on power.
Would anyone know what type of injector would be installed Bosch or Delphi etc and would they be steel or copper seals. Having difficulty locating new seals for TDDI.
Many thanks
Martin

Mk6 injector washers are normally steel and come with the injectors, have you checked all boost pipes for splits. N
RUST IS LIGHTER THEN CARBON FIBRE

Thank you both for your replies.
I’ve taken the complete air system out, pipes/ intercooler/ egr/ manifold etc, blanked the EGR. Installed new EGR then the repeated pht sound. Hunting idle 750-850, should be 900.

So is it copper or steel washers ?. Can’t find the right ones.

Thanks

I’ve recently taken my injectors out and the seals look to be made of steel

Cheers Bertie,
Today I rang Bob Beck’s fuel injection company and they are supplying a set for me. I hope they are the correct ones.
Did you have any difficulty removing the injectors ?, and where did you get your new seals from ?.
