MK7 Map Sensor!

Postby squirkane2010 » Sat Jan 21, 2012 2:28 pm

Just thought i'd post these pictures as a indication as to what a map sensor can look like after only 27000 miles!
Van starting hunting yesterday and was down on power so thought i would strip out the sensor and have a look!
The van is only a 60 plate too!

So it may be worth checking yours!
And it was only serviced 7000 miles ago!!!

If you require a new map sensor, from fords the complete housing that the map sensor sits in is cheaper by over £10, (includes map sensor) than the sensor on is own, and you get free screw too!!!!

Have cleaned the other 2 vans this week
And found a toothbrush and a toothpick seem to
Work best (just don't use them to clean your teeth afterwards!
