Don't think they like water
I'm shocked and surprised to hear this coming from a fellow engineer
Was the system installed before you came into ownership or did you install it? (9 years suggests the former) but if the latter then surely you would have performed a risk assessment prior to installation? But it appears not to be the case.
You'll have to report to the engineers lodge where you'll be reeducated and regraded.
Bring a loofah
Why would I need to bring only one comfortable shoe?
And performing a risk assessment does not automatically exempt said person from taking said risk.
Anyway thevent was fitted when the original owner converted it into a Workshop van for there Fleet. And over those years the plywood they used as a base between roof and vent has now disintegrated. I find it highly inconvenient.
And it was I who moved the inverter to facilitate a more useful setup of the redundant corner area unbeknownst to me that the vent would leak directly into it's new position.
I ma Wright a strongly worded letter to the original vehicle manufacturers for not ensuring proper installation of third party items on there vehicles.
