Just pulled this from the wifes van
more fun to be had. glad it did it right outside the house rather than miles away somewhere, they just came home dropped the kids and was heading out again when there was a clunk! :?

Anyone used one of these or is it worth shelling out the £200+ for a genuine jobbie?

Dayco I believe are reasonable quality brand, tpuk part is listed as ford manufactured.
I've had ford parts from tpuk with some of the ford oval ground off.

That's not effing Snap! Image
Called tpuk specially, told him is a mk7 2.4 TDCI RWD, said I need a crank pulley and belt and offered him item numbers, but he looked them up himself then asks if its got aircon and reg No. to check items are compatable.
Yep all good. Ok 36 for the pulley and 12 for the belt.
Oh that's good belts a lot cheaper than I thought. And pulleys a few quid less too.
Special Saturday delivery 9.99 it's all cheaper than I'd added up without postage.
Alarm bells should of been going off at this point but just pleased I could get everything today.
w***!

He's only gone and looked up stuff for a 2.2 FWD with aircon.

And he's supplied the aircon belt even instead of the main belt.
What a bloody farse

But it's good to go now anyway desire the cockup.Image
One solid crank pulley

A quick blast down to London and back for a special order for a customer (any order is special at the moment)

It was good to visit memory lane as in, the stupidly heavy traffic down there which caused me to move 50 miles up, or down, (whichever you prefer) the M40 to Oxfordshire, it's always nice driving away from it at the end of the session :P

I was quite chuffed to see that I would be on target for a 600 mile tank of fuel, if I were inclined to let it go down to the wire, which I'm not. It should be even better when I refit the summer tyres, and give it a service 8) :D

Not quite as good as the prediction though

Today has been kinda productive, glued the T back on the transit badge, painted the door handles black, soldered the LEDs into the interior light and fitted led lights into the steps. N

Also fixed the airbag light/reverse light fuse blowing issue yesterday, it turned out my reverse sensors (that I fitted) had a broken wire that was shorting out on the sledge hammer I had resting on the wire   N

Is the sledgehammer for really tough wallpaper stripping?

I fixed my abs today 8), there was a broken wire at the connector on the chassis leg at the front so I cut out the ford one and fitted a generic one from eBay and then had to replace the wires than run from the front connector to the rear wheel.

It is indeed for stubborn wallpaper, comes in handy with awkward customers as well  how much crap fell in or near your eyes while under the van, abs all working now. N

A fair bit of stuff fell on my face but I was clever today and wore my safety glasses  could do without another trip to a&e to get something removed from my eye

Abs and traction control lights are out, no codes for abs showing and the auto lock function is working again
