Have you tried a ball joint splitter Mr Flibble, I use a wedge one paid about £12 for it and a lump hammer. N

Drove it to vantuner for 10am. Martyn fitted a new PRV, SCV,EGR delete, pump and pilot learn and a re map. All on my MK 7 115 long wheel base.

Drives like a dream now and I got home a lot quicker aswell.

A pleasure as always Martyn.

Cheers bud, Ade. :D :D

Been on the tools all day.

First job fabricate some inner wing repairs. Cut away rust from bottom part. Used some sheet steel from the old wings to make inner wing. With a little bit of box section. Also decided to bolt straight through the bumper to a welded nut on the box section.

It's not pretty but it'll do nicely once it's all painted.

Just finished off welding in a new foot step/well.

Bottom was rotted out under the plastic coverings so I decided to use box section (rectangle stuff) to build a new step with. Had it kicking around so figured I'd try it. More solid than the pressed steel one.

Tools down now. Some fibreglassing tomorrow. Start painting next week [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Hooked it up to new vcm.
Cleared faults and reset various values.
Took it out for a drive and it sounds quite. The harsh diesel sound i was getting low down when putting power back on has gone. Will have to see what its like in morning.
Looks like you cant do a pump and pilot learns.

Is your Euro 5 Walt?

If so all you can do is reset various learned values and make it relearn.
Does make a difference :)

It take upto 50 minutes to do a regen, and it revs at 2k whilst it does.
It's probably worth doing, but you need time!

Ill do it on site somewhere. Farmers shouldnt be too bothered with the noise.
Like a different van this morning, quiet and touch wood the hunting on light throttle around 2000rpm has gone.

Unloaded all my stuff from it after a weekend in Lincolnshire training "potential leaders" :? Couple of them couldn't even divide 60 by 4

Drove it home yesterday, 200 odd miles, 6 hours :? Bl00dy traffic was manic :(

Still averaging 40 to the gallon though :) but a budgie is starting to squeak every now and then some where down the front only when cruising along, not round town, very strange :?
