Fitted injector leak off seals
Hopefully that'll put an end to the diesel leak
And poor starting after being left for couple hours.
Old seals looked buggered..

I Changed the battery on my 2008 2.2 swb. After buying the last battery ( Exide ) 3 years ago and having had morning starting problems for ages. "Checked Alternator output on mulltymeter all ok" I took advise from someone on here and bought a 100 amp hour Bosch Battery from EBay. £119 free delivery, I did see one at £102 but decided after reading his feedback that I would go for a different supplier. Free p/p came next day nicely packaged.. Its a massive size just got it under my seat. Next morning jumped in Van turned the key ! It spun over so fast and engine started immediately. As it Started up for me after spending £119 Yesterday I gave Van a wash and vacuume, Plus cleaned dashboard area.
Ford Transit 280 SWB,,Year 2008,,2.2,, If it can,t be fixed/repaired/ with a 4 pound lump hammer then it must be an electrical problem.

Excide do a 5 or 7 year guarantee presuming it was new it's worth calling them they should replace it, even though you've got another one someone will buy a new one from you I'm sure..

Took van for retest after replacing all discs, a few brake pipes and leaky rear hub seals.

It passed. Yay.

I cheated on the back axle though. As it also had a very whiny diff I decided to look around for a replacement axle, and found one locally with almost unused discs and seals already replaced. Had to trust the seals were done properly and the diff was quiet, and so far it's a good call.

It has to be as it's off to Scotland this weekend (500 mile round trip) and Minden the week after (1500 miles). I'm sure by then I'll know for sure.

I think I have some spares, will be a couple of days before I can get into the garage though as I've emptied the contents of the van into it

But its tidy, I've not even looked in the back of my van for a while, I have started leaving the rubbish with the customers now as it was becoming harder to dispose of. N
