Fixed the lights in the heater control.

Sounds simple but the sockets for the bulbs were falling apart.

Replaced it with a better unit sourced from Punto433, thanks :D
Might be hard to see but there is actually something there for the bulb holders to latch into.

Then to hopefully prevent the new one getting any worse put in some led bulbs.

They work properly with the dash dimmer and the two layers of silicone seem to spread the light out quite well.

Started it... Two completely fooobared batteries and many cobwebs later. Mk6 --> Mk7 dash conversion electrics finally done. Just having trouble with the hi/low relay not holding. Otherwise, Yay. Hoover, dust & wash needed.

Not quite today - actually just before Christmas, but...

Replaced the battery that was on its last legs (it's a Motorcraft one so I suspect it might have been the original, which would make it almost 15 years old  ).

At the same time, I upgraded from single to twin batteries. Also fitted a heavy-duty isolator switch in the earth path to make life much easier when doing electrical work (no more farting about under the seat trying to disconnect the batteries :D )

And since you guys are always demanding proof...

Test fitted my sports kit.......it's gonna need a good bit of fettling to get a good fit.
On a brighter note my BCM is a CC so can go ahead with further planned upgrades a bit easier :D

Need to find the birds nest in the engine, seem to have a squeaking chirping kinda noise at idle, think its something to do with the alternator belt or pulleys
