Today I scored a couple of load rails, and as I currently have a free afternoon, I might see about knocking some thing off my todo list :D

Sweet, i kept mine from my mk6, mine have rubber along them :-)
They are good but the pins are quite tight against the back so you need skinny hooks, i usually use bungees or the red ratchet strap i push the material behind and tie it :o

Best with a hair dryer i think, the glue stuff is hard and doesn't melt, does very slightly become stabbable, unless that's a placebo affect lol.
The outer lip is your enemy, once you bend if right back then a thin flat blade behind it and your basically pulling the from lense sideways where the lip was, you aren't pulling the lense forwards if that makes sense? When you split the side of the lense you then go to another side and do the same, you end up just disconnecting it a bit at a time.
That's what i observed anyway, start at the bottom or wing side, the top side you'll see when you open the bonnet so leaving that till last should mean no screwdriver/knife marks, but you can put a nice bead of black sealant on it to tidy it up when back together.
Half way through i was thinking, "I've f*cked up a perfectly good new light" all is good tho :-)
