I think it would be pointless as it'd probably just spin all of the time

Warning for you all. If you change the door lock on your mk7 make sure you have the new key somewhere outside the van.

I had a flat battery last night (the non-start one) but it meant my keyfob didn't work. I had to crawl under the van in the snow and get the key for the hykee lock.

And as I wiggled around in the snow, freezing and dirty, I was happy. Happy I'd thought to put the key under the van, not in the glove box!

Yes, Michelin Agilis Alpins 8)

By contrast, I started the same journey in the Focus with it's fat 18" Continental summer tyres, and it kept sliding about all over the place. With ditches either side of the narrow lanes, I decided not to risk the car :P

For a key I've needed once in a year and a half? I didn't want to carry it around. Seems only idiots like me need to be reminded they may someday need it.

Sweet, I had some Pirelli winter tyres last year, they were crap, I might have to look into getting some Michelin winters if this crap weather continues. N
