It will have to stay as "New Transit Custom" to avoid confusion with older Transit Customs which have been around since the Mk1 (I had one!) 8) :D

So will it have to be called 'the new new transit custom' N

Present one will be the "old new"

Last night. In a moment of "why not" I decided since I'm going to be sitting waiting on the ferry in the morning I'd start getting the cruse parts sorted and possibly fitted.
Stripped out the necessary wiring from an old harness and cleaned up the new wheel. Then thought..... I could just pop the wheel on.... shouldn't take that long.... so i I did and was all done thinking I should leave it now till the morning since it's after 11pm.
Ok just to be safe, lean away from the wheel when I plug the cable back into the clock spring. Got the fright of my life as the horn started blaring constantly! Fkkkkkk can't get the plug back out. Sealed like the horn was on for ages and I'm sure lots of people in the hotel were pleased oops off to check where I've gone wrong now

Just checked front batt again after 15mins of running. Hot as hell and 10.7v
Link fitted between positives and earth lead off. That should get me home without it blowing up

It's not getting any better....
After a successful installation of the new wheel ( without the airbag cable sitting on the horn contacts) then the wires from clock spring to BCM I was feeling positive.
Then the battery went tits. Now the new CC BCM wont program.
Ferrys been cancelled.
Not sure if it's running tomorrow.
No rooms legg in any hotels.
But booked into a hostel but immediately started got chatting to a Canadian chick so it ain't all that bad

got to the job, parked up.

Came out five mins later, laddie says, what that?
Pool of some fluid beside the front wheel?

Is it oily? I said thinking it can only be brake fluid

He sticks his fingers in it and sniffs?

Then I realised! It's dug piss
Took great delight in informing him :D wish I'd got a pic!

Well nailed it last night. unfortunately not the Canadian chick, she went off to bed early but after another beer finally got to load the asbuilt file and now we're all good.
Nice an early to the ferry this morning so went through the learns while waiting to board and all done first time.
So its all in and just to add CC mod now.
