Yup, that's when I get it, our lanes like a building site and it rattles like buggery when I drive down it :?

I'll try Looty's tip and see :D Already replaced the drop links, cause one of them was bent to buggery :?

Been doing bits over the last few days but nothing's going quickly.....
Rebuilt the cooker/kitchen unit with shelf, drawer and boxed in the gas bottle, made a mount for the table leg and ripped out the two rear facing back seats to modify the base (join two single bases so I can get rid of the centre legs) so I can get storage boxes under them and use all the wasted space.
Getting ready for heading off on some adventures now all the nice weather's feked orff

Ps pics in the morrow.

Tried out Forscan for the first time on my 07 MK7 110T300 SWB 2.2l - ex-AA

Reset the DTC's - mainly relating to a faulty BCM which was replaced last week.
Did a Fuel Pump Learn - "worked" but revs would drop when idling
Did a Fuel Injector Pilot Learn - failed on Cylinder 3 (Cog light now on)
Did another Fuel Pump Learn - worked, idles nicely (Cog light still on)
Did another Fuel Injector Pilot Learn - worked (Cog light off)

Engine now sounding very smooth.

2 errors left:
PCM: Code: P251A - PTO Enable Switch Circuit / Open
BCMii: Code: B1048 - Brake fluid level switch (Brake Fluid level is at max - tried resetting and reading with handbrake off - no change)

From what I've read in other posts these are "ghost" faults so not too worried about them..... though it'd be nice to clear them... any thoughts?

Pot is an option you can go into settings to change though can't remember exactly what or where you change it did it on one of mine once so know it can be done
As for brake fluid not sure but check your reservoir with a torch shining through it as just under the cap is a kind of pre reservoir that makes it look like it's got fluid.

Turn of rpm limiting in service functions (set from 3 speed to none) or ignore it.
The handbrake warning should only be there if older calibration or gone when it isn't on. Try taking it off then clear codes then read. Or ignore.
A pcm update might cure it.

Thanks,

I went out to try again... The handbrake light can come on even when the handbrakes off sometimes so pushing the handbrake handle down (not just releasing it) while doing the test made B1048 go away, so maybe a PCM update is whats needed. Can Forscan do this, or just leave well alone?

I couldn't see rpm limiting in service functions so I decided to have a look into Central Configuration to see if it was there. Got an error message that there was no secondary firmware and did I want to check the internet. There was but it gave me a dire consequences warning if it went wrong installing it so I cancelled it...

According for Forscan this is my current config:
BCMii - Body Control Module
Part number: 6C1T-14A073-BK
Strategy : 6C1T-14C094-AG

and this was what it was downloading:
6C1T-14C097-AB.VBF

Maybe thats far enough on my first day of Forscan.... :)

You can bend the little tab on the handbrake so it engages more reliably against the switch, they sometimes go a bit straight and struggle to push the button just out of wear really, simple fix.

I would be a little wary just now of the capability and reliability of forscan.

None of the faults you have bring a speedo warning up or affect the performance of the van so don't worry about them, you've done the update etc so all is well :-)

Took it for an MOT this morning. Just one advisory FOS Tyre close to legal limit. Not bad as that's the only advisory I have had in 6 years I have owned it, always sailed through. I must be slipping in my old age.

I gotta say stevie, your lax attitude towards road safety astounds me :?

Not bad going tbh, since the new mot rules I'm surprised they didn't fail it on an empty crisp packet in the drivers door pocket obscuring the safe exit route.

 :o

My front fog lights was looking crappy, so I decided to change them for the Osram Led driving / fog lights (102) they are nice and bright and I am happy with them, the auto filters on my camera are reducing the light as is a nice sunny day...

Looking good Bill 8)

Took the Tango machine in to my Mate's garage so he could put it up on his lift and see if we could find out what's loose. Turned out it was my imagination

Little bit of play in the rack on driver's side, otherwise OK :) Does need new disks and pads on the back though :?

The question is, should I get genuine disks, or risk aftermarket ones :?: Don't want to end up swapping them again too soon, cause it's a bugger of a job :?
