Drove it like i stole it... then ran out of petrol because the dam fuel gauge was stuck at half way, i wouldn't usually be bothered but i was taking the mrs and a friend to a funeral, thankfully we were close but when they got out and waked the rest of the way naturally it was the same time the heavy rain started.

Wouldn't start again... no primer on fuel filter and starter needs checking.

Tdci fill fuel filter, crank, it should start repeat as necessary.
Tddi fill fuel filter, prime with the hand pump thing, get someone to crank while you crank the injectors open to release any air. N

I filled fuel filter and found it had no primer... cranked it a few times but nothing.

AA came to the rescue... sort of... checked what i had checked, done what i had done then he cracked open the injectors... but noticed sparks from the starter.

In the end i got towed home.

It has fuel at the injectors and wants to crank... but not for long as all power seems to be lost, my guess is the starter is knackered and is draining power.

P.s it had new filters and oils yesterday.

I long for a time when it doesn't want anything.... or at least not for a week or two.

Have to say not all true, there's a shop on there that do cheap motors I bought one for my old navara and couldn't fault it when Nissan wanted £500 for just the starter I got one from there for £89 or £96 I went for the OEM one @£96 the shop is in Oldham town Center ( they say they are a specialist in starters and alternators) I'm close enough to collect so that was good for me also.. BUT can't fault them good customer service also, forget their name though tut..
