MK6 Number Plate Light

Postby transit mark » Tue Mar 19, 2013 9:09 pm

I bought a van today and both number plate lights dont work. I have been told that i cant replace the bulbs and that they need to be replaced as a complete unit. Is this true?

if they dont work with new bulbs, there may be a broken wire inside the back door

The covers prise off from the outside but you may want to remove the interior panel to see if you have 12v at the wiring plug

Got the covers off and one bulb was missing and one not working. Replaced them both and they work.
