Vantuner

Postby belly » Thu May 02, 2013 5:26 pm

Nothing new just another very happy repeat customer  Took my 2.2 140 Sportvan to him this morning, I was running late  But Martyn was chilled and welcoming as per usual 8) My van is looked after by the legendary Coconut so always runs sweet with the latest software and tbh I always felt that it went well whilst being fairly smooth ! So Martyn plugged into my van and worked his magic, he deleted the egr the top Limiter and weaved his magic, we then went on a little road test to which my van felt a bit more sprightly but due to the traffic constraints of being in a borough of London I couldn't wind it up :? However the trip back was another matter   Mwhahaha the mid range is great and it goes like a stabbed rat  Every van was a target and some cars  At one point some blokes in a Vivaro gave me the w4nker sign as I kept dropping them as traffic speeded up :P

Got a van ? Martyn is da man  8)

I would love to but whenever I get near Chester city walls the guards pelt me with rocks and arrows

na it's quite a way from me and I don't often do the long trips, except Nottingham bank holiday August or sometime if I visit my dad in Milton Keynes which isn't on the cards at the mo.

I Know there are loads of posts on here about how good vantuner is, He made my van faster,He made my van more economical, Etc,etc
This is all great and what you would expect from a remap guy. BUT, I would just like to say that the way Vantuner looked after me when things didnt go quite to plan was unbelievable.
Sent my ecu to him for a remap on my old Connect, Got it back very quick but when I plugged it in and started the van it just went to full revs and cut out. I phoned Martin and was told to send ecu back to him to try again. Second time I got it back, Same thing, Full revs and cut out, Back on the phone with Martin to try and sort it out. Now bare in mind I live around 200 miles from him, Never met him and never used him before. So he had no idea if I was genuine or if there was previous fault on my van and I was trying to pull a fast one. After a long conversation with him was told he would phone me back in a bit. Around 25min after my phone rings with an unknown number, It was a chap local to me that had a mobile mapping business. Martin had found this chap somehow, Phoned him up and asked him to contact me.   The next morning this lad rolls up in his van, plugs his lap top in and said the van will have to go to his mates garage around 60miles away. RAC took it there, The garage re loaded standard Ford data into my ecu and all was good. The cost to me. NOTHING,ZERO, NADA. The way Martin looked after me was bloody brilliant and totally professional. I have been in and around the motor trade for over 20 yrs and have never come across anyone that provides aftercare service like Vantuner. He is a top bloke and I would recommend him to anyone.

Martin did my EGR valve and took the speed limiter off. He had a little drive of my van and he was impressed with the power that it has achieved. All I would say is he knows his stuff. I think as well you get the personal professional touch and not a snotty kid driving 300miles to remap your van and say he as installed the latest 140hp software with a there own tweak. Martin checked this for me and basically it is the 2006 85ps software with a lot of tweaking. Martin seams to think the power gain is around 130-150 ish. I will be getting all the software updates done by martin from now on.

Thanks Martin
