Common problem because the vans are so air tight, lower one of the front windows 1/2 way and it will close with ease, otherwise you will need to slam it.

The vents are too small to let enough air escape.

Never heard of a transit being air tight.

The minibus windows leak enough to let the air out.

Try adjusting the striker plate further out

If he adjusts the striker plate the whole door wont seal properly and water could get in.
I know it for a fact because here in malta we have loads of minibuses and everybody has this problem. Small kids sometimes cant close the door properly because of this problem. Try lowering one of the front windows half way down and see if it solves you problem.

Mine does it sometimes when the kids close the door, but it normally latches on the safety catch. It's true that the air is a problem, I usually drop my window slightly when they're closing the door. So it depends what he means by not closing "bouncing".
