Mk6 edc pump home repair

Has anyone attempted the edc repair themselves I have read various sites and feel confident to do it just need to know which parts is it transistor lrfz44 or lrfz44n and some thermal adhesive copper wire strand and solder of anyone has any info I would be greatful thanks dave

I wanna revoke this old thread. I just bought 2.0 tdi mk6 75ps which has pump failure, two codes actually P1665 - Injection pump control module communication fault and P1564 - Reduced fueling mode. Another thread in this forum indicated that those two codes relate to the faulty transistor on the edc chip and that the transistor type is IRLR2905PBF N-type. I took apart mine and to the eye the edc chip looks just fine. I thought there would be clear signs of burnt transistor. I have also new transistor which I'm solder to replace the supposed faulty one. I took a pic of the edc chip and all the information relates to the top right corner transistor being the one which fails. Well I'm gonna report back what happens when i replace that transistor.

And anyone, please comment if you have tried this fix or have some solid info on this matter, thank you!

Correction, the supposed faulty transitor is on the top left 8)
