Emergency rear door knob fixing ?

Postby blue estate » Tue Nov 12, 2013 8:31 pm

I got my self the black knob type rear door opener but what fixings does it use ?
I know there's 2 holes but is it screwed in or bolt or large pop rivet ?

What do you want to do exactly? :?

The knob can just be levered off carefully with a flat screwdriver, no fixing as such. If you take it off it just gives some access to lock mechanism.
there's some rivets on the outer trim, but they dont do anything.

Hi There,

I appreciate that this is a very old post, but i can't for the life of me find the knob type door openers anywhere. Does anyone know what they're called and where I could get one? Finally, can they be fitted to a door that hasn't previously had one or do I need to alter the lock too?

Thanks in advance!
