You need access to configuration, so you need either ids, or Forscan

Yes.
And then download Forscan, which is free

Is Forscan capable of BCM configuration in a MK7 transit??? How?

Didn't worked out for me...always missing configuration file...

I need to clear up a bit of confusion about the stalk/steering wheel controls.

With the steering wheel controls can I:

1. Set a cruise speed
2. Set a voluntary speed limiter
3. Control the clocks menu

Can I also do this with the single cruise stalk or is there a second stalk for controlling voluntary speed limiter?

Stalk is for controlling the trip and speedo settings.
Cruise control is done by the buttons on the steering wheel.

I'm not familiar with setting a speed limit other than changing it in config via ids.
I didn't care about speed limits so didn't look

So the stalk has nothing to do with speed settings?

I'm sure the Mk7 Transits had a voluntary speed limiter option, controllable via another stalk... or was it a lucid dream

I had a 2.2 Mk6 Hi-top for a few years. That put me right into old granny mode!

You might be thinking of idle speed control for vehicles with an extra alternator or pto.

mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

I had a courtesy vehicle a few weeks ago where I could set a speed limit at whatever speed I fancied. It wouldn't allow me to go over that speed unless I double floored the accelerator. That's what I was after on my Transit.

Go on the Forscan forum, and download the folder of configuration files.

Look  http://forscan.org/download/CalibrationFiles.zip

Hi loot

I wonder if you can help me before I go mad Regarding the cruise control
I have a BK BCM which the cruise has been activated due to there being a green light on the dash before I start the van

I’ve connected two wires to the squib 4.5 and 29,40 on the bcm
But I can’t get it to work any ideas

Is there a bcm wiring diagram

Kind regards Les 07917646910
