DMF and Gearbox

Postby Nelbert » Sat Jul 19, 2014 7:24 am

Dear sirs,Could anyone help I suspect my gearbox on my 2007 110 swb fwd is is needing to be looked at internally the gearbox chatters in 4/5 gears but disappears if you gently apply the throttle plus the added annoyance of a whine above 50 mph.Can anyone give me any advice to this issue. Is the conversion from DMF to single Flywheel worthwhile and does it damage the gearbox ,any advice very much appreciated, Nelbert

According to this list  viewtopic.php?f=40&t=94462

Your 110 should be a solid from new.

You will get divided answers regarding changing Dmf to solid, I know a few that drove badly after conversion, and a few that killed the input shaft of the gearbox soon after. Others have never had an issue.
