Correct Battery for Mk6 2.6 135ps

Postby stezie » Tue Jul 29, 2014 3:21 pm

Hi can any one point me in the correct battery for my van, its a 2.4 Duratorq 135ps. it wont start first thing in the day unless jump leads are attached. i believe the previous owner put in the first battery he came across as it wasn't anchored down properly. Also should this van have one or two batteries?

Thanks for help!

Orginal ford battery would of been a 70ah 680 cc....just get .biggest cc cold cranking power you can which would also prob have more ah reserve..as long as it fits....2 batteries would of been a option for this van
but more than likely it had one fitted

I want to fit a leisure battery in the spare space anyways, but as a starter battery do you think the likes of the battery halfrauds is selling would be a capable item to start this van in the middle of winter?

was thinking it was a bit pricey via there. main thing im interested in is knowing that the Cold Cranking Amps is more than sufficient.

cheers

Yes, but verify it will actually fit in the space available!

The standard battery for a Transit is either 096 or 100. If it helps we stock both on an exchange basis for £65. The one you've linked to carries a great warranty but as stated is still a little bit expensive.
