09 PLATE RADIO / SAT NAV PROBLEMS

hi has anyone had problems with there radio going completely dead, mines a 09 plate 3.2 limited everything was fine friday when i parked it up, got in this morning and the radio is completely dead, its the sat nav bluetooth cd player, doesnt have a model number
ive pluged another radio in after checking fuses and wiring and that 1 works fine, can they be repaired. it has a little fuse in the rear which is also fine, just seems strange how it would die when the vans not in use
any help would be appreciated

Was it getting power from both live wires and key on? Have you tried powering it up off the van?
Haven't played with a transit sat nav but most stereos have a diode in the back, maybe get that checked although it is only there in case someone wires the power the wrong way around, other option is a audio sales/specialist, not sure how much they'd charge tho lol.
Also find out if there is a reset procedure on the radio.
May be other things i haven't mentioned, is there a trouble shooter guide with the audio book for it?
Also may be able to check it on ids but i really don't know

Sounds like chinese paul . If theres no details on it of what kind of unit it is

OK, well what i said still applies but add to the mix that the Chinese ones can suffer from dry solder joints or failed cheap components.
Needs taking apart and reworking and going over with a multimeter.

its a genuine ford unit, ford blaupunkt travel pilot fx, ive tryed the reset but its totaly dead, ive put another ford stereo in that works fine so i know its the stereo
looking on internet could be there power board, is there anyine who repairs them or take a look, i wouldnt be that bothered but its the sat unit and are a expensive unit
