lowering a mk7

Postby alibabameister » Sun Oct 12, 2014 8:34 am

Hi
my van is sitting very high at the back ever since I fitted some new springs.
Midlandroadsprings has offered to supply some lowered/straighter ones.
Has anyone had this done before?
cheers

40mm was about right, depends if you are going to carry anything heavy.

Did the 40mm lower spring equate to the van being 40mm lower?
I've got a helper spring underneath which has a gap of 48mm on the ends, so only helps when loaded up and touching.

You need to talk to the guys there, as no 40mm is not the same as the spring since the shackle angle changes.

These guys do springs all day long, ring then up and have a chat, they are proper old school.
