2005 Transit 90 T350 Weird Random Non Starts

Fitted a new starter recently as the other one was dieing.

now and again maybe 1 out of 100 starts the van does nothing, turn the key nothing, like theres no engine no starter nothing.

but then after a few attempts it starts fine and runs no problem, problem wont come again for ages then happens

anyone heard of this?


its hard to explain but has happened twice now in the last 6 weeks "starter only 6 weeks old"

Possible ignition switch (had that one before) you didn't show immobiliser light in vid to eliminate that as probem (unlikley the way hat starts)

Yeah, I'd be looking at that first as well

Immobilisior is not the problem

fitted another starter today and again when at the fuel station it did not bloody start, put it in reverse tried starting it and it worked no problem? WEIRD?

how can i test a Possible ignition switch?

By replacing it, they are only £15

I'd also try a new starter relay
