No idea if the trigger is live negative or can bus/signal :-( need to put a meter on the output from the van and see what it shows.
My alarm is working but after locking it there was a backup sounder fault, maybe i should just connect the sounder to it? I know 100% that the live and negative are correct at the siren but signal doesn't react to + or -. May even have damaged it by doing that but it's dead at the moment anyway.
Science eh

Cheers :-) cannibalism is legal in some late night establishments 8)
Tongue test is perfectly acceptable (low voltages) wouldn't recommend it on the mains tho

Right I'm getting just under 12v from the bcm line and that is constant whether doors are locked or unlocked, I'm thinking that i need to fit the intrusion sensor and get the bcm to think the alarm is all connected correctly, I'm wondering if i would need to reprogram the speedo? In not getting any pips from the speedo when i lock or unlock the doors with the remote or with the keys.
I'm getting 1.6 v from the backup battery and also from the backup battery circuit when it is plugged in. (Battery is 6v 240 mAh)
I don't think my alarm is working yet never mind the sensor and siren :-(
Ran out of wires too.

You say you have just under 12v from the BCM, 1.6v from battery backup, no voltage at main ic on sensor pcb, correct?

Going back to one of your previous complex conversions, have you connected the earth ;)

 nice try lim but there's a serious flaw in your suggestion, I'd have 0v at the bcm connector then :o

I think your right there bjt:-(
Plugged in the intrusion sensor so apart from the perimeter horn and bonnet switch i think it is all installed.
When i lock the van then unlock it and do a fault code read, I'm getting backup sounder fault :-(
I went into alarm stack and it showed this 'trigger event'
Image
Volumetric sensor Is intrusion sensor i believe.
It may have been because i unplugged the bcm connector to install the wiring and also tried opening the driver door while inside and locked.
I went into data logger and perimeter and it said no sensor info.
Dash may be right and the Mondeo sensor/siren works in a different way?
I may need to do more programming somewhere?

So, bjt these alarms that say get back..........

What a dick i have been :?
My alarm works, i wasn't allowing it enough time to set after locking, this morning i unlocked the van with the key and the speedo was beeping and showing drivers door open and after so many beeps the indicators were flashing like mad 8)
So it seems that the mondo siren is wrong or broken as i have been told already :)
Still unsure if the intrusion sensor works or not but I'm getting no faults from it and it is registering a trigger event in alarm stack.
Only thing now is finding the right siren, i did see the same type as bjt on eBay from an s max but it's gone, dash also thinks a Mondeo mk4 should work, I'm going to check the alarm today and set it off and read the Lin wire output and see if it goes from live to ground or something :-)
Thanks to dash for his advice 8)
Thanks for everyone else's thoughts also.

Limbo does bjt lock his van at night?
Mwahaha

Just checked the output, deactivated alarm reads 11.4v constant, alarm triggered shows 9, 10, 9, 10, 9, 10.

BJT only locks his nicker drawer, vans always open. Best go up on Thursday as he will be mixing it with the London mob on the train.

I ment a alarm sensor not a siren from a mondeo mk4 loot. Glad you got it working, told you to let it settle after locking the van.

You could try a smax siren I think, also just sent you an email.

To test the interior sensors - double lock the van with you inside - Let it settle - then move about inside- get someone to stand outside the van - as when you set the alarm off and the indicators flash, they don't flash on the speedo dials only on the outside of the van, so you wont no if indicators are flashing or not.
