Tourneo MOT & Service nr Guildford, Surrey

Postby nicktarling » Mon Oct 20, 2014 9:46 pm

Hi, I have a privately run (not a taxi) 2009 Tourneo 8 seater minibus (low roof, swb) & would like to find a decent garage that will MOT & service it.

I live in Guildford, Surrey & used to use Grays Truck & Van until they stopped servicing Transits (they now only really do Iveco trucks).

Has anyone got any recommendations? I have used a local car servicing garage, but on a couple of occasions they have struggled to diagnose some issues I've had, so I'm looking for somewhere that 'gets' vans. I don't mind travelling outside Guildford, so Surrey or Hampshire should be okay.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick.

How far is Ruislip from you?
That's where vantuner is, and he 'gets' Transits :)
He put a 200ps 5 pot in his swb 330 :)

Thanks all. Yes, Surrey IS a nightmare to get to Ruislip, but Hersham is do-able I think. Thanks B44dam. Will give you a shout when I need to. Service/MOT not due until March, but like I said, if I need anything looking at I'll give you a shout.

Darn sarf, it's not so much the distance involved, it's how many traffic jams are on the chosen route :P

Ideally from ruislip you need someone near Uxbridge, hayes or slough

Kent is too far, but thanks for giving the options.

BTW having to top up the coolant quite frequently. never had to do that before. can't find any obvious leaks. is that normal (van's done 67K miles)? - I'll have a look for answers on this forum under the correct heading, so don't need to answer :) . Thanks.

actually found a leak at the back where the pipes go for the rear heater. That was a job done (valve replacement) by the garage I am looking to change - they don't seem to have put the rubber hoses back on properly - may need that garage sooner rather than later. Have been happy with them with my cars, but since changing to a van, not been impressed (maybe co-incidence I guess).

Thanks very much for the responses. First time I've posted on here.
