Hi all

I'm thinking of adding 3 seats into the back. Does anyone know the best way of doing this ?

Thanks

Without looking i wouldnt be sure, but isnt the fuel tank in the way underneath if your planning on putting them behind the front seats :?:

I supose if you weld them in or bolt them in the tank would have to be moved :?:

you wouldnt want to weld the seats in with the tank below, nor drill holes through the floor? too risky surely

you dont have to. I've just put some in. have you checked if the holes are already there? Mine were but nowhere close to the tank

Adding 3 seats in back

Postby Dan T » Wed Apr 25, 2007 6:05 pm

I'm going to have to lift the plywood lining and look. Ill post my results.

If there are no holes, how difficult will it become to add the seats ? Dont know if i fancy removing fuel tanks or anything else as i just dont have the time to do it.

you could weld plates in from the top ive done it this way with my rear(3rd row) seats - the important part is the seat belt mount as than takes the strain in an accident :!: but if the belts are on the seat then the seat mounts :D

If there are marked bolting points on the floor is it just a case of drilling them through and bolting straight through ? or is there a little more to it ?

Got my seats now :D
Its a bench seat which has the seatbelts on the frame.

Do the seats need to be bolted in 4 places ? as i can only see 2 unless the seats are to face to the rear where there are 4 holes availible.

You will need to use 4 bolts.
