Problems Starting After Gearbox Change

Postby johnpettet » Sat Nov 22, 2014 1:31 pm

Hi All.
Ive just replaced my MK7 gearbox, clutch & DMF, selector cables along with crank sensor, the problem is its not wanting to start on its own!, theres not much fuel getting to the injectors, if i spray easystart down the tube by the MAS, it kicks into life and drives really well!, but when i turn it off NO START!!! :-(
Any ideas???? thanks John :?
Ive looked on here and someone mentioned the Inertia switch?....

Ive just read the codes on the van and is coming up with U0140 - Unable to communicate with module - any suggestions??

It won't be the inerta switch if it runs after starting with easystart, of its even got an I.S.

Does it turn over fast or struggle? Also is there any Engine management lights on the dash?

Have you managed to pull on the loom at all and dislodge a plug or damage a wire.

Checking the wiring is a good start, aswell as checking all the fuses :D

Try you old crankshaft sensor.Had one that would start cold and run all day knock it off when hot and it would not start till it cooled a bit.Snapon reader would not show any fault code.
On the sixth day God created a Sprinter on the seventh he gave it away and bought a TRANSIT
