Just heat the outside black edge and use something blunt to break the glue, once you get so far it'll just break away, the glue stuff just separated on mine in the end.
I won't be doing this again tho its taken bloody hours lol.
I only really wanted to spray the silver surround Matt black but then i thought i may aswell do something a bit different while I'm in there.
I wanted the projector in the middle and a small spot lamp next to it like this.

but it would have been a nightmare to do so i decided that they'll never get done in and in the end i put my worms in and as an after thought i pinched the halo ring off my projector and stuck it on

I like them loot. Like what your did with the worms, no hard bends like I did.

Put some glue on the worm clips so they don't work loose once you've sealed the light up and they are bouncing about on the van.
I made the mistake of not doing that.

Looks good Paul, are you keeping the normal indicators? As you could make the normal indicators work during the day then when you switch on the side lights could deactivate the normal indicators and just have the worms flashing if they are not that bright in the daytime?

Thanks guys :-) can't get a really good picture of them.
The worms are ribbon copper tracking inside the tube and when you remove them they look really fragile, i cut the flat tracking off the tube and used black pu18 sealant to glue it to the plastic and the lense slightly squashes it on too, the halo was hot glued on and i tidied the glue up with a soldering iron :-)
The halo isn't super bright and seems to absorb the original indicator (more I'm the day)
All the standard functions are still working and i like the black surround.
Can you guys look in the pic with my standard main light that is warm colour, would you say that if i got some night breakers, would they match the bright white of the other lights?
:-)

Try led halos, although don't try them with hot glue :) Also removes the problem of blown CCFL drivers.

It's starting to look like it's HID time :)

Ah I'm not going down that road, I've ordered some osram night breakers, hopefully we'll have all white light at the front :-)
Not splitting the lights again if i can help it, cleaning the sealant off with a Stanley left me with a few nics lol

I'd be finishing mine today but my dog has just been spayed and she's miserable so I'm staying indoors with her, although it was funny watching her swaying about last night as the anesthetic wore off :)
