Do the speedo clocks match the age of the loom and ecu?

tonight's work on the transit from hell lol, after checking all fuses again and relays and all connections between the PCM and fip I think I might have found my problem.but before I jump with joy and get in the Xmas spirit I thought I would ask on here. What is the difference between vp44 fuel pumps ending in 010 and 040 the original one is 010 and the recon one is 040. I plugged the 010 pump in and earthed it with jump leads and I could clear the p1665 no communication between fip and pcm!!!!! Oh crap if works as its a waste of money on recon pump :?

Steve are you sure you have a vp 44 fitted :?: The injector pipes on the pump should have a 19mm nut.Did you change the pipes when you changed the pump :?: Different pipes for different pumps .

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D it's Christmas and it's bloddy running it was the pump mismatch in pump bumpers. So the vp44 pumps are NOT THE SAME !!!! A pump ending in 040 cannot be used in place of a pump ending in 010 no coms to ecu what a journey this has taken me but we live and learn and for the love of power lol vantuner next :D thanks everyone who replied especially bambi1

Does anyone know if you can just swap the edc from a VP44 ending 040 an put onto a VP44 ending 010? or is the pump internals psychically different too?

Thanks! Dan :)
