Mk7 Transit engine and box into another vehicle

Postby johnnyanglia » Sun Dec 21, 2014 6:31 pm

Hi, My name is John, I have recently bought my first Transit which is a rear wheel drive 2.4 diesel engined 15 seater. I am really impressed with it, so impressed in fact that I am wondering if it is feasible to fit the engine and box into my Mk3 Zodiac(the other engine and box combination is a 2.9 V6 from a Granada Scorpio). I am looking for fuel economy primarily(the original straight 6 only does 18mpg). I am trying to find out the dimensions and weight of a combined engine and gearbox, can anyone tell me where I would find these details out ? Thanks in advance, have a great festive season, Johnny.

Or he could try the TDI with the mechanical pump if it's all available now? that would save an awfull lot of wiring ??
just follow the onscreen instructions and it's fairly idiot proof...trouble is, we keep producing better idiots
