Did you turn off Wi-Fi? Disable it then restart ids if need be, it should at least ask you to find the file locally.

I know nothing about focus other than it is quite clever compared to transit in that a lot of it is can bus so the clocks menu is quite substantial.
Look for focccus online. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.jamess ... lm327/amp/

Also try this. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=168536&hilit=Reconfigure+rcm

Bloody nora Mate, only just read your post :D

It'll take me a week to understand it, and then get brave enough to have a bash

As it happens, I bought one of those modified ELM thingies off that bloke a bit back, but haven't got around to trying it yet

Can live with the light for the moment so I'm not rushed, although I'd like to get rid of the original seats, and don't want to do that until I know I don't have to put them back in :?

Her indoors go back this morning, noticed the new seats when I picked her up, and has already moaned twice that I bought them

PS.....and thanks by the way :D

If you have ids then you don't need the elm thing, i just showed you the focccus because there's some useful info there, they have can bus controlled windows and mirrors mods and things for the focus that we don't have on the transit.

The lower link and ids should hopefully be the same for the focus and basically you'll turn off the seats.

Also have a Google search because there may be a user structureless way to switch them or something simple that I'm not aware of.

Tells the mrs, yeh so i bought seats, what of it? Least i wernt spending it on lezzers eh.

She'll be OK then 8)

If I said something like that to her she'd send me to Coventry for a week minimum  Mind you......every cloud eh :?:

Now I understand what you meant, was being thick.

Well, just tried the ELM thingy and finally got drivers installed and it showed up th coes for the airbags as expected, and the descriptions were much like the ones in the IDS for Transit. But, no option in the RCM module for turning them off :( Will try the VCM and IDS tomorrow and see how that goes, never know your luck.

where did the number you typed in for update/special function come from :?:

Tried IDS on the Focus this morning, but it came up with PCM not recognised and when I tried manual entry, it didn't have Focus in the list :?

Fecked around with it for a bit, then gave up and had me lunch

Tried some Maplin's resistors in the seat airbag connectors, but didn't work, and turns out the muppets in Maplins sold me the wrong ones

Hi guys,

I've recently fitted a different engine into my van, like for like. Its a 110 2.2 fwd mk7
I also fitted all the ecu and entire loom etc .

Now it starts and runs but there's bit of smoke on start up. It also seems to start on a couple of cylinders and then within a couple of seconds the other cylinders seem to come in. I'm not sure if thats even possible but thats what it sounds like lol.

I've been told i need to do an update and a pump learn with ids. Now i have ids but i have no idea what im doing lol can anyone point me in the right direction.

Good evening chaps,

my IDS wasn't able to do module programming on a MK7 today. I did this a lot of times before, but today it won't work. Always get the message "NOT AVALIABLE" when I click on module programming.

I am using the 86.04 from Mr.Loot - never had any problems before.

Any solutions to this?

If it was a while ago you first used it redo the xprog patch as it only gives you 120? days (or about that)
