Beware!! Ebay seller selling used SCV as 'brand new'

I ordered a brand new SCV for my mk7 from ebay from seller Transitpartcentrehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130858547671

The part that arrived is a used part that has been cleaned and polished and the top plastic bit painted. There's even a fingerprint in the paint! The masking line is clearly visible too.

Have you rang them to ask why they sent a used one when you ordered a new one

No just emailed them to request a return. Didn't even bother fitting it to see if it works.

Had a look through their feedback and someone else had the same issue. If it hadn't been covered in scuffs from polishing I probably wouldn't have noticed the painted top and debris round the base.

The last one I bought was reconditioned from PF Jones, but sent the fuel pressure off the scale, so took it off and refitted the old one.

They wear out internally and can look like new i think, and they still appear to work on the bench so I'd only use a new genuine 1 for what it's worth.

Well my egr came today ,nice and shiny in a new well padded box.

Fitted and i can hear it do the clean cycle when turned off so fingers crossed all fine with me dealings with them.

Read this post last night and realised I had just bought one from this seller.....

Took it out the packet and it was a used part....polished metal and painted plastic......it even has a thumb print in the paint ffs!!
Pretty shocking for a company that specialises in transit parts.
Anyhoo I emailed them and got a reply.....it said that it was new but they did not dispute it was not genuine as listed.
I am going to fords on monday!
