I'm considering buying a (Chinese) VCM2 initially so that I can programme the keys for my 2013 MK7. Reading through this thread there is mention of codes that you you need to get online and input in order to do this. Where can I get these codes from and what sort of cost is involved? Thanks.

Thanks Loot!

Also whilst looking for a VCM2 I found this lead on Ebay,http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152218587919? ... Tags=bu=bu

I contacted the seller and asked if this would programme keys (immobiliser chip and remote central locking) on a 2013 MK 7 Transit, to which he replied "yes it will"! Do you think this is right? At that price I could take a punt and if it doesn't return it?

I'm 5050 on newer vans because from 2013 they changed the coding procedure from incodes to internet based and I'm not sure what vans are affected :-(

I know i can't program keys for my 15 plate custom using my ids let alone forscan.
So try it and see i guess. :-)

OK, thanks for the info. I'll try this cable and post up if it works or not.

Cheers!

Just an update, needed to download the latest version of Forscan (http://www.forscan.org/download.html), but this cable cost £14.95 and worked and I have programmed new keys (remote and chips) successfully!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152218587919? ... Tags=bu=bu

Forscan even created the codes itself so I didn't need to get them from autokeyprog.com. There is a guide to doing it on the Forscan forum: http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=839. You will need to register on the forum and extend the licence which is free, it's all explained in the link.

Cheers all, Martin.

Hello,
I have a problem with a 2011 Ford Transit which I bought on an auction. The car was sold from liquidator in a bankruptcy procedure. I have all documents of ownership, but the car has no keys as well as service book. I went to Ford dealership to ask for a spare key (knowing the usual procedure performed by the dealership from a couple of years ago when all keys for the MB A-class of my girlfriend were lost/stolen in a bag). This is my first Ford and it turned out that they need to change the entire security system which will cost more than the van. I called several locksmiths (considering the fact that I am a bit in a hurry as the van needs to be removed it from the parking where the auction took place) they tried to rip me off.
So I have read all previous posts and understood that my biggest problem is the immobilizer. I took already one of the cylinders to a locksmith so I will have the cut tomorrow.
I have ordered a spare remote so it could be programmed to lock/unlock the doors but the ignition will still be not working.
Could you please advise me on the best way of having the van running?
Even if I need to buy some additional tools (like ODB cable, IDS, etc.) it is highly appreciated as I am really keep on doing some small repairs and these tolls will help me in the future.
Thank you.

Hey,
Looking for a reliable replacement key for my 2013 mk6 bus(v347,v348 2.2 tdci diesel 125hp) transit. No clue if those numbers are helpful. It has the blue key with remote locks. Just need a spare for back up. Anyone have a website they trust?? Thanks for the help in advance.

Jackson.
