Yes you did it :-)

At the front you see 040(this means single code for keys so only use the first box code in single)
If you see 044(this means dual code for module initialisation so use both box codes on dual)

yes, i was a bit worried in case i f****d up and was left with a van i couldn`t start
but in the end is was easy peasy!

the "autoprog" page actually tells you about single/dual and which numbers to enter! but in my haste i didn`t notice it at first :)

as always-thanks for your advice :D

Hi. This key programming is something id like to get to grips with. We have several mk7 transits so it pops up now and again. Im not sure about geeting into the ids system. But from what ive read the turn key 4 times etc doesnt work on mk7?
What about this kind of thing?http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav= ... 14&alt=web

Is this likely to be a reliable solution?
Cheers

Youd be as well buying an ids setup, then you could code keys, and read fault codes etc

I would think the ids is quite a pricey bit of kit? Ive got a couple of code readers for sorting out the simple stuff. The technical stuff goes into a garage (im not a mechanic...just keen to have a go where i can)
But the key issue pops up now and again. So i wondered if that tool might be a good option

Food charge 200+ for a new key programmed i think, so if you bought a key fob for 35+ pounds and ids for 100+ pounds then you'd still have change :o

Or get a new fob. Find someone in here with IDS.

Total price is for the fob & a packet of digestives. :D

That does look a very good option. I was assuming that the ford ids diagnostics would be a very expensive set up. Possible with software licenses etc.ive done a search since your post. There seems to be a few different one on the market. Any pointer to a good quality one greatly appreciated

Ids can do anything the dealer does and one use generally pays for it Lol, there are many sellers and it can be hit and miss unfortunately, I've given up on recommending sellers for this reason tho.

Best i can offer is this.

Has anyone got access to incodes for post 2010? I'd like to add another remote fob to the van (2012 mk 7) and from autokeyprog i assume it only works to 2010.

The battery broke on the one I have last week and it's been a real pain waiting for a new battery to solder in.

I have no reason to believe that autokeyprog won't code all of them
