MK6 Rear Bearings

Hi I am looking to do my rear wheel bearings on my mk6 lwb been told I need this bearing eBay no: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251014970401 my question is do I have to take out the half shaft to do this or can I use eBay no: 5055590801686 is it a job for a novice or should I be looking for someone who knows what they are doing My reg YP55VYB

they not like the mrk 5 were you can just take half shft out and they they their you have to take back pannel of the rear of the axle remove the pin that to gain access to the c clips then you will then be removing the planets gears as these are held together by the pin :( if you not expeienced then get some one who nows how to do them for you :(

Cheers Karl I had a look at them on the tis looks a bit more than I fancy doing think I will need to look up a local garage I wonder if a mobile mechanic could do them at my house

Its easy , if you have a Haynes manual to follow , you will easily do it , and feel chuffed when you have finished , give it a go . :D

Meant to write a reply to this done the rear bearing myself only trouble I had was getting the old bearings out and the planet gears and shims where fun but other than that it was straight forward glad I had a go :D :D
