Injectors and EGR?? 2007 130bhp

Hi folks,

I posted a few days ago I was having some starting issues only when cold with my van, I put it into local diesel specialist who has informed me that injector 1+2 are leaking off and a fault code came up for EGR, worst case scenario is 4 X injectors and possibly EGR and big bill!!!

I'm thinking I might try taking off EGR valve and giving a clean out first, how bad a job is it? and do you think its worth while trying this or just bite the bullet and get some injectors?

If your van is FWD the EGR should be a lot easier than a RWD.

Some you win & some you loose....I removed & cleaned mine around 12 months ago & had no trouble with it since.

How much are the Injectors leaking back, without knowing you could be replacing good ones.

I'm just away to pick the van up from the garage, I will try and get some figures for leak rate, mine is the FWD version

Looks like al be having a look on here for how to guide for the EGR later on!
