Can someone help , is the gearbox out of a 2002 90ps transit the same as a gearbox out of a 2002 125ps or are they different ?

Pretty sure they should be the same, but the number of bolts on the propshaft connection may be be different ( 3 or 4 )

cheers , we fitted a 125ps engine into van and left the old 90ps gearbox in and just wondered if it would make a difference

No it won't.
