Dual mass flywheel - cheap vs expensive?

Postby Tranny_136 » Tue May 19, 2015 10:07 pm

I need to replace my flywheel, I'm definitely going DMF instead of converting it but when looking for a replacement I've found a big price difference between brands, should I pay the extra or can I get away with the bargain bin deal? Thanks in advance!

I bought a full luk clutch kit and flywheel for mine, tipped the 400 mark but i reasonably believe that the original did 150.000 + miles so with that logic and the mileage i do I'll be long dead by the time it needs doing again
Original was a luk so it's oe.:-)

I fitted it all myself which saved money. 8)
56 350 2.2 130ps mk7 with 2 side doors 8)
65 290 2.2 125ps custom with 2 side doors 8)
07 350 170ps

What van is it for? I've got a full LUK kit for a mk6 125 2.0 fwd sitting unused in a box. I bought it before I found out how rotten the van was.
