how do you judged a wiring harness

just brought a wirring harness for inside the cab, how does the experts tell if its a 1-2-3

i was hoping its a three as it has plugs for electric mirror motors and door windows

It should have a label with a Part number on it

Do you know the Reg/Vin of the van it was removed from

My red van had e/w & e/m but no screen wiring etc,

Looms are a mine field, digital speedos, analogue, tdci, tddi, fwd,rwd, high,med & low spec

But I'd look for all 4 plugs at the centre facia panel and heated screen connectors to to indicate a high spec loom

Unfortunately it's not as simple a low medium and high

Perfect cheers Paul. That's helped me understand which wires are for what but since I cut the Mk7 loom it's proving difficult. Have you got a diagram for Mk7 barn doors so I can work out what needs which?
