Power steering fault

Just got in my 53 plate transit to head home imediay notice heaven stearing oil was small touch law topped it up made no difference . Any suggestions any one please

Fwd or rwd ? how's the water temp and brakes ?
Check drive belt and crank pulley

Since last post have lost power keeps cutting out and high temp , brakes are fine gonna check belt when eaten but think it's ok

Fwd,with no power steering and high engine temp suggests the small drive belt which runs pas pump,and then water pump has failed in some way.

It's located on NSF corner of engine above gearbox (under black plastic cover).
It's driven off end of front,inlet camshaft.

Thank you very much belt is broke . Just hope power is back to normal when I get belt on Monday

While belt is off give pump pulley a spin just in case it's seizing and caused belt to snap

Its going into reduced power because with no drivebelt the water pump isn't turning,so its overheating,as it gets hotter it will cut out completely......
The belt is a service item at 100k but that doesn't generally happen.
Just check the tensioner is ok,idler seizes up and wears a 'flatspot' sometimes.
Hopefully its just belt failure..

The tensioner costs so little it's worth replacing. I had one go and needed it ASAP and it cost me a fortune.
