Diesel pump 2.0 ltr to tddi 95 bhp 2.4 ltr ????

Postby 11sparky40 » Mon Nov 23, 2015 9:17 pm

Hi

Quick question

Will a diesel pump off my 2.0 swb transit be compatible with a 2.4 ltr engine. I bought a van with engine troubles, thought I'd bought a compatible replacement engine then found out today it's 125 bhp version and the ecu is expecting a 75 or 95. The engine is sound but the guy that came to programme it said it was impossible. I have another with I'm about to either sell scrap or break due to corrosion but it runs nice so I'm wondering it this will work. I'm aware the pump will still need programming but just thought I'd ask first regarding compatibility.

Thanks

Leigh

No such thing as a 95.

But there was a 90
You need a VP30 pump, which the fwd van will probably have

Aha, I stand corrected, yes indeed, it is a 90, thank you.

And yes I believe I have a vp30 pump in my swb fwd.

So looks as though problem solved

Happy days. :D
