You guy's may of hit the nail on the head here....those cheap kits look a bit tacky - is the calibration certificate a photocopy from a different size bottle (is it written in Chinese - what calibration certificate I hear you shout). :shock: :lol:
No Squire, not just any van....it has to be a Mk7 (VM.1) :D

All 4 Injectors read over 50ml leak off & the van has no running problems. :lol:

The silent killer is over fueling rather than failing imo, i don't expect it to run badly even tho over fueling excessively tbh:-(

With the above in mind how might over fueling be a problem.

Taking into consideration the symptoms I am nearly convinced it's the injectors...but in view of the cost I want to tie up any lose ends. I noticed today a small leak(very small) dripping from the fuel tank,likely coming from the top.
My question is if there is a leak from the feed or return pipe and air is getting would I be right in thinking this could be could effect start up.

I'd check the breather pipe first from the top of the tank to the filler neck - that's the most common source of fuel leak from around the tank - won't have any effect on the starting issue though.

I bow to your superior knowledge bro - I couldn't help thinking that with ALL 4 Injectors returning results in excess of 50ml & the difference between the highest & lowest being negligible, the results had been skewed by the cheapness of those buy one get six free kits. :roll:

shedrool83 wrote:I got a kit from ebay to and had similar results using the measurements on the bottles.My bottles are marked from 1-10 which i took to be 10ml - 100ml but when i transferred water at 100ml on the bottles to a measuring jug out the kitchen it was a fair bit less than 100ml.Your kit might be the same .
Just a thought .

How much less....15ml less & he's good to go. :D

Here is how much of a difference i get filling the kit bottle to 10 and pouring it into to kitchen jug .
The kitchen jug measures just under 60ml .So if the kit bottle is reading 5 that would = just under 30ml going by my calculation but i did fail maths and chemistry and biology and ...... :lol:

@mk7 I'm just offering my thoughts that's all :wink:
@shed.. Fook me :shock:

Do you think i should calibrate my 1.50 bottles then?

:lol:

Do the test kit bottles show an actual unit of measurement on them ie cl/cc?
