2nd gear crunches

Hi!

I just bought an ford transit built 2008 2.2 tdci. I have noticed that 2nd gear crunch a little when the car is cold. When car is warm the gearbox works fine. I have read on this forum about problems with cable adjustment. But i guess the problem is a warn gearbox? The car has not many miles but is a motorhome (hymer).

What do you think is the problem?

Might also be worth changing the oil, a motorhome might not have many miles on it, but they are heavy all the time, so the engine and gearbox work hard!
