Transit 85 2006 strange delay in low rev range!!!!

Hi all hope some of you can help me with my 06 transit 85!! Ok so the van feels good to drive as you would expect 110,000 the issue is with the accelerator pedal i think, sometimes it is hesitant to rev from idle like a second delay and then it takes a little longer to come back to idle!! most of the time pedal is instant and returns instant, just now and again this slight delay. i only drive around at 50mph never abuse it drives fine has all the power i need at lower revs. this rev thing only noticeable at idle!!!

Is this a MK6 or 7?
You may need to plug it and get the fault codes

Sounds like a possible faulty accel pedal.....best to get codes read before spending your hard earned. The pedals are electronic, so no throttle cable as such.

Either that or crankshaft sensor.
