You mean you've owned this van since May of last year, was like this when you bought it and been driving it around...and only just now found out the big-ends were duff???

Hi ,grateful if I can have some info,
I will be getting someone to change
my engine in transit 2007 2.2 TDCI
The engine would be out of a Mondeo
I have been informed that injectors
will have to be changed as they come
out
Would the vehicle have to be programmed
for that new engine
Regards
Andy

Mk7 gearbox issue

Postby Robertsfron07 » Thu Mar 23, 2017 10:36 pm

Hello experts,
I have not been here for a while,
My 2.2 tdci mk7,has not been too bad,
In the last few days,I have been having a dry bearing sound from gearbox area while driving in 4&5 gear,I have jacked front wheels,to check bearings, they seem fine, but get a horrible loose cog sound from gearbox area, any ideas? Much appreciated, also if gearbox has gone would a mk6 fit my mk7 5 speed,
Now also I think water pump is leaking

Mk7 injectors won't fit Mondeo mk3 2.2 engines & engine won't run in a mk7 :!:

2 options available.

1. Rebuilt your original engine.
or
2. Engine conversion using a mk6 2.0 TDDI engine or a Mondeo mk3 2.0 TDCI engine. - You will require mk6 wiring looms for this conversion.
