Transit online vehicle check help!

Postby Ross Brown » Tue May 24, 2016 8:19 pm

Hi to all.

My name is Ross. I am new on here and have now almost purchased my first transit after having a few years looking and browsing on this brilliant forum.

Got the bug after my dad got his brandnew 2007 140bhp camper van with a hobby custom camper built on the back.

Anyway i have found a amazing transit sportvan 60 plate with crew cab its gorgeous in sea grey with only 41k on the clock. It has all the extras sat nav, leather, heated seats, patking sensors etc and its in really mint condition. Full service history. It is the SportVan with two captain sests in the front but with the crew cab so 3 extra seats in leather in the back plus it has two sliding doors with tinted windows and the factory fitted bulkhead so like a big car really which is perfect for me as it will not be working just pampered and lots of polishing

I done a online vehicle check on it YT60 CEX and got this Ford Transit 140 T280s Ltd Dc F. No issues on finance, accidents, stolen, mot's etc but just trying to work out what the Ltd and Dc F stands for?? Is it some kind of special code as its a crew sportvan?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I Certainly have tons of mods planned :D

Thanks.

Ross.

Hi Punto443.

Cheers for the reply mate. By the way your van is mint, i was looking at your vehicle thread last night i was well impressed, certainly will be doing some of your mods :D

Thanks for the info on the transit i will be getting. Hope to have her by next week. What does ms designs stand for? I have noticed it has Ms on the 18inch wheels.

Should of thought about the dc meaning double cab!! Whats does the F stand for in Dc F!

I will get some photos of her uploaded once i get her home.

That list is brilliant i really appreciate that.

Looking forward to joining you all with my transit

I live in wroxham 5 miles from Norwich many of you out this way?

Well with only 41k on the clock she is spotless when i looked over her last weekend in Manchester. The body and chassis is mint. She has been garaged all the time and the only reason they are selling is due to lack of use :)

But dont worry the wax oil will be out straight away

i have landrovers so know all about wax oiling

I don't want to put any dampers on your euphoria, but so far as I'm aware, all factory sportvans are 260's not 280's.

Some may argue that a 280 Limited is better than a sportvan, but they're not the same thing :?

The Etis thread tells me that it isn't a sport van, as Al says, it's a 140ps, 280 double cab in van in limited spec.

As far as I know there were no genuine factory crew cab sport vans.

I wasn't being down on your new van and hope it gives you lots of joy, it was just advice as Southampton built vans are known to rust quicker then 1970's British Leyland vehicle's so preventative cure. N

is that not due to southampton's production line running through the dock and dipping them in sea water.

Yes i love this transit as it is the 280 not 260 which is much bigger i like that.

Ahh i see i was not sure what models they did the sportvan in but it has every thing on it just like the sportvan so im all happy with that :D
Ha, ha i hope they dont dip them in the Southampton sea

About the sils there are 2 pieces on each side.

I am still learning the transit lingo!!

Sshhhhhh, the sea water is a top secret British rust prevention application, it also helps the recycling process. N
