Black smoke under high revs

First post on here!!! My mk6 55 plate pick up hasa couple of issues, firstly the revs are kangarooing at about 3000 revs, which I think is down to a sticky or seized actuator, any other options out there im not thinking of?? Secondly im getting excessive black smoke under high revs or heavy load, I realise that the sticky actuator causes bad combustion but would it cause that much??? Big plume of black smoke when first started and then only under high revs.

Black smoke usually is a sign of over fuelling when did you last service the van. N
