engine managment light on

I have a mk 7 transit with some electrical problems the engine managment light is on all the time and the traction control light comes on about 5 minutes into each drive the wipers also have a mind of there own the only fault code that comes up is a dirty dpf but it's spotless any ideas/help greatly appreciated

If your van has two batteries I'd get them checked,

were the codes read on a decent reader or just a basic?

not a dealership system but a good system normally and it only has one battery it still runs fine but it would be nice not to have all the lights on all the time

Very unlikely that a 2.2 85 has a dpf, so that's a spurious code for a start

Yes it has a dpf but it is clean
