Info here. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=111349#p936602

Seems to relate more to sticking between gears and none movement of gear stick but may be relevant.

Hi everyone. I have just bought an 05 transit FWD off a friend. It’s a decent little van and very clean but the gearbox is awful. First and second are a pig and it often jumps out of first if it’s not in properly.

I have searched and found the linked post interesting although his symptoms are slightly different to jumping out of gear. Does anyone have any info on adjusting the or replacing the cables? Or any idea of cost?

I don’t really want to do the jobs myself.

Thanks in advance.
