Mk7 deadlocked

Postby Vanmad8 » Wed Jun 22, 2016 10:04 am

I have a transit mk7 which will not open with the black key.

Tried to grease the lock but this is no use I think it has deadlocked itself because the problem came about when I tried to open it and it went peep like one of the doors was open or something.

I think it's in some kind of anti theft mode to make things difficult I only have the black fleet key not the blue fob

Help appreciated

I had a simliar thing a couple of weeks back. It could be that your rear loom has split and shorted the central locking. I had everything you have but my drivers lock wouldnt even turn.
Is the wire carrier to the right rear door kinked or damaged? Can you open the back of the van? If so get in there and undo the bulkhead bolts to reach or climb through to open the doors from the inside. Otherwise depening on which van you have there are other ways of getting in.

When you're in check the fuses (fuse 73) and then check the rear door loom.

Have you got one battery or two ?

Open the bonnet and check whether the starter battery is flat.
The jump start point and F16, F17 or F22 should all show battery volts.

The onboard computer needs a good non-start battery to work and make the van unlock but the lock power comes from the start battery.

If you only have one battery then you can just connect a second one on the jump start point to open the van.

mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

I'm not sure what that will achieve if you don't have a fob for the C/Locking :?

Pull the quarter light out, put the correctly coded key in the ignition and it will release the deadlock.

Then open using the inside handle.

As Punto said above, pull out the quarter light window, and put your arm through the aperture

It's not bonded, it will pop out, or cut the rubber if you can't manage to pop it
